She has acted in diverse roles for film projects, campaigns and apps and has performed voice overs for clients including Powershop, Uniting and Humanitix. Ellen is known for her regular performances in The Juice Media’s satirical series, Honest Government Ads where her videos received between 1-10 million views, making them some of the most viewed political satire in Australia. In 2020, one of Ellen’s videos quickly reached over 13 million views online and was shared around the world, including by well known actors Jason Alexander and Mark Ruffalo. Ellen is also a director, screenwriter and editor and holds a Bachelor in Filmmaking & Television. In her work, Ellen focuses on addressing climate change, protecting the natural world and advocating for animal welfare. In 2023 Ellen directed Power On, a documentary addressing the challenges and opportunities of renewable energy in Gippsland and she is currently in production for Native Pest, a documentary about Australia’s dingo and their essential role in Australia’s ecosystems. Ellen has also worked extensively with the not-for-profit Bushfire Survivors for Climate Action to produce Black Summer Stories, a series of short films on Black Summer and beyond.
